The National Telecommunication & Information Administration (NTIA) has published a slide presentation outlining NTIA’s role in the management of the Internet’s root zone file, which includes the authoritative listing of information related to all top-level domains (TLDs), and the root WHOIS database, a separate database that contains contact information associated with each TLD and other registry information.
