Finally and at last, the fulfillment of a request made thru the Secretariat Group since 2007. Nick-Ashton Hart ought to take a bow since this development is in place in part as output of his considerable advocacy on behalf of the At-Large agenda in ICANN. Dev made a very good example of use but one of the objectives for the podcast development was that they would be provided to the public broadcast and information agencies in LAC for dissemination. I hope the IP issues are contrived such that this might still be possible. Dear All,
Scott Pinzon, Director of Policy Communications at ICANN has publicly launched ICANN Start, a monthly audio podcast (in English). Mr. Pinzon had first demonstrated the podcast to us at the last ICANN meeting in November.
Each episode of ICANN Start is less than 20 minutes long and attempts to educate At-Large users on the basics of a ICANN policy related issue.
There are four episodes so far, which can be found at http://icann.org/en/rss/podcast-en.rss on
- Internationalized Registration Data - DNS Redirection and wildcarding at the Top Level - Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy - introduction to the ccNSO
You can send comments about the podcast to start@icann.org
A suggestion : The podcast should be transcribed. Such transcripts can then be translated into other languages so that non-English speaking persons in At-Large can also benefit. So do submit such comments to start@icann.org
