Dear All, Re: Internet Society Trinidad and Tobago Chapter - Regional Awaiting Advice from LACRALO. The chair and secretariat have reviewed this ALS application and note the following: According to ISOCTT's bylaws: Membership in the Internet Society Trinidad and Tobago Chapter is open to Internet end users in Trindad and Tobago. With the executive committee in the Organisation dealing with all issues in relation to Internet Governance, in particular: (a) holding seminars, providing awareness, facilitating collaboration and serving the needs of the stakeholders in the local Internet community (including any specific, cohesive community of interest) in the context of Internet evolution through education, Internet infrastructure development, Internet standards and experimentation, public policies and regulatory co-ordination regarding Internet content and services, and Internet governance; (b) promoting activities consistent with the Internet Society International's purposes in Trinidad and Tobago; and (c) encouraging local participation in Internet related policies and increasing awareness of the above objectives through projects and initiatives with associated fund raising activities. The Organisation is structured to support individual Internet users' Informed participation in ICANN and ISOC related issues. The chair and vice chair of ISOCTT (Cintra Sooknanan and Tracy Hackshaw) are already active in ICANN and are well known to ICANN and LACRALO. Thus the regional advice is to accredit this Organisation as a At-Large Structure. Kind Regards, Dev Anand Teelucksingh LACRALO Secretariat
