I understand that step! You say because this process is not mandatory we can play unfair? After all is only a reference process?? I guess no.. Even if this is only a reference it should be fair and clear Carlos ------Mensaje original------ De: Olivier MJ Crepin-Leblond Para: CVQ CC: presidencia@internauta.org.ar CC: ICANN At-Large Staff CC: LACRALO discussion list Asunto: Re: [lac-discuss-es] Election NomCom lacralo Enviado: 4 de ago de 2011 18:31 Dear Carlos, thank you for your kind reply. In the poll page it says:
Who should LACRALO recommend that the ALAC appoint as the 2012 NomCom representative from the Latin American and Caribbean Region, for a one year term?
SO WE ARE VOTING TO SELECT WHO WILL WE RECOMMEND
This is what it is.. A VOTING PROCESS TO SELECT WHO WE WILL RECOMMEND...
The poll that was undertaken by LACRALO was the region's choice. It is not an ALAC mandated vote, and the ALAC is not bound by its results. How the RALO reaches its choice of suggested candidate is of no concern to the ALAC. The wording of the poll has to do between LACRALO and Staff. It is unfortunate that it might sound like a binding poll because it is not. The ALAC will appoint who it believes best meets the criteria.
