[lac-discuss-es] RV: Google Alert - working group internet governance
[[-- Translated text (es -> en) --]] Colleagues, I strongly suggest reading the article by Professor Wolfgang Kleinwaechter to which is linked in the email contained in this message, with the aim of recognizing the important and changing variables of the environment in which our activities and, more broadly, ICANN, are carried out. It sheds light on many external influences that are not always manifest and that can definitively distort the variables on which the design and operation of the governance system that we are obliged to defend and promote is based, and imposes transparency obligations on some participants, in particular. Particularly those who have repeatedly told us that, due to the limited availability of experts in their communities, they cannot separate their roles associated with their participation in civic, technical, business, and government entities. A constant update is available in the publications of the ICANN section dedicated to the relationship with governmental and multilateral entities, but before asking there for updates and clarifications, reading Prof. Kleinwaechter's article will locate the main coordinates currently at play and its possible influence. A judicious analysis, in turn and consequently, can lead to weighing the efforts that each of our current and proposed activities merit.
