The role of the Secretariat is defined in LACRALO byelaws. The byelaws deliberately identifies the ALS as role actor, NOT the person. Note we vote for the Secretariat, not a Secretary. This was never intended as subtlety. It is for cause. We also request ALS designate a contact person as well as an official representative. Again, nothing subtle about it. So long as Internauta Brazil retains standing in LACRALO and so long as Sylvia Leite Herlein is a contact and/or official representative, Internauta Brazil may not be neutered and dispossessed of its right to hold and advocate its opinions. Even if we think they are misguided. Furthermore, its representative in the person of Sylvia Leite Herlein may not be frustrated in exercising her duty to Internauta Brazil and be declared mute in LACRALO. She retains an absolute right to hear and deliver opinions on any matter on behalf of Internauta Brazil. She also retains the right to cast the vote allocated Internauta Brazil.
