Thank you very much for the response Harold. As I participated in the meetings at ICAN 79, I also heard several opinions against going to NetMundial+10.
Reading the conclusions of the first NetMundial, I do not understand those opinions, perhaps they did not read those conclusions. At a minimum, end users are included as part of the multi-stakeholder system. And during its development, topics are discussed that could have a favorable or negative impact on end users. And then those parties that attended can adopt those measures. And for end users who did not have representatives (with deep knowledge) it will be too late.
You always have to be proactive on this issue, we have lived it and suffered, but they continue to be only reactive.
Greetings
Alberto Soto

Good morning dear Alberto, I hope everything continues to flow well in your recovery.
Regarding your question about the approval by the Crop committee to go to an IGF meeting, I told you that they stopped approving the use of crop slots to attend the IGF after 2017 if I remember correctly. Then we went on to consider support to assist the IGF with resources that were specifically requested in the additional budget request (ABR) processes and then in 2018-2019 I remember that ALAC proposed the creation of a strategy that would allow Icann's presence in the IGF. One of the characteristics of this possible financing would be that the people interested in receiving support with additional resources would have Work Sessions or Presentations Approved by the MAG of the IGF or that they would be directing members of the ALAC working groups and at the same time be involved. in IGF work.
In general terms, these have been the cases in which the IGF issue has been discussed.
I take this opportunity to share with you, and with the region, the agenda that was discussed in the meeting with the ICANN board where the need for icann's presence in these international forums was raised again.
Before that meeting I also gave a report at the meeting with the regional vice presidents of Icann in which we had the opportunity to emphasize the importance of reactivating the participation of the large community in these forums.
The responses in that report that I gave and the response with the icann board were to coordinate preparations and establish positions but it was not directly specified about enabling travel quotas.
As always, thanks for your attention to the important topics,
We are in contact,
Greetings

Dear Harold, I still have not had an answer to my last question on this topic. And precisely in the meeting at this moment at ICANN 79 they are talking about the importance of NetMundial+10, and there is a working group of which you are part. Opinions were also expressed about our convenient participation in that meeting.
Please, could you answer me?
Thank you so much

Hello Harold, Who determined that CROP cannot be used for large events, and where is such a rule?
Thank you so much
Albert

Hello Alberto, I hope the recovery continues with all the irons👍🏼
Thanks for suggesting, it is already provided for in the OFB information point and other matters.
I can tell you that for the World Net event something similar happens to the IGF, that is, it is not in the priority range to finance participation from the ICANN crop.
The crop focused on dissemination, strengthening and regional participation that could even attract more people to the ecosystem and in the case of these global events there is already a public fully involved in these ecosystems. As you know, the IGF and other global forums are no longer an activity in which we can use the crop a few years ago, we have to review that in the activity calendar.
We must check strategies for regional inclusion or reinforcement of the countries we have.
Let's talk more about this in the list and move between our monthly times because these strategy topics fall short when we try to build them only in the monthly meetings.
See you in a while at the meeting, today with the topic we were reviewing in the regional list👍🏼 RDRS
