The Candidate Expressions of Interest <https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ABMS/pages/760020998/2025-...> and Candidate Statements <https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ABMS/pages/770211889/2025-...> have been posted and questions posed by the community will be posted shortly. There will be a meeting with the candidates at 18:00 UTC on Thursday, 12 February 2026. The electorate will be the 15 ALAC Members (with a replacement named for Justine) plus the 5 RALO Chairs. All electors may informally consult with their RALOs, but the ALAC Members (or their replacements) MUST vote according to their own beliefs. RALO Chairs MAY vote according to the direction of their RALO. In order for a RALO Chair to exercise a Directed Vote, there needs to be: 1. A formal vote of the RALO (ALSes and Individual Members) confirming that the Chair will take a directed vote. 2. A formal vote of the RALO specifying who the Chair should vote for. Staff is geared up to carry out such votes if the Chair indicates this intent. Please note that if your RALO is to direct the vote of the Chair, it is VERY IMPORTANT that the RALO ALSes and Individual Members study the Candidate documents and attend the Candidate Meeting. If you intend to ask your RALO for permission to take a directed vote, you need to inform me and At-Large staff no later than 23:59 UTC on Friday, 06 February 2026. The vote of the RALO to ratify this decision will be run the following week. A vote of the RALO to decide on how the Chair should vote will take place immediately following the Candidate meeting.
