Dear colleagues, Thanks to Pitinan for the updates. My votes remain unchanged. However I noticed that in lines 19-21 Myanmar Vowel Sign Sgaw Karen Eu seems to be a codepoint, which can only be combined with others in Myanmar, which would render the example invalid in Myanmar and our comparison void. A possible solution may be to add another codepoint from Myanmar so the example becomes valid, but this might remove this candidate pair then. Best, Meikal Am 24. I agree with you that the given example must be either adjusted or the comparison removed. I would suggest the former and use the Myanmar Letter Wa (and Latin O). Since we already decided those two to be variants, it could allow us to look at the relation of Dotless I and Sign Sgaw Karen Eu, even though a second letter will be present in the example. Since Vowel Sign Sgaw Karen Eu is a combining mark (Mc property per Unicode), then it make sense to present it in a realistic way for context purposes. I am still undecided as to how to encode a variant rule, if any comes out from our analysis.
