Dear members of the ME Space community, As you know, we planned a ME Space session at ICANN 69 Virtual meeting to discuss one of the hot topics in ICANN. We set a timeline and sent a call for topics to have the most preferred topic to be addressed and we gave 2 themes proposed by the co-chairs. The GSE staff for ME thankfully secured a slot for our planned session on Tuesday 20 OCTOBER 2020 from 10:30 to 11:45 UTC At the expiration of the deadline, we didn’t receive any proposal or comment (deep silence). We gave 2 other days for the community to comment on the co-chairs proposals but didn’t receive any response. We explained that by the community fatigue because we organized ME Space virtual sessions out of the the regular ICANN meetings that might be the source of the fatigue. But we didn’t exclude the eventuality of a lack of interest from the community about the ME Space future activities. Therefore, we propose to keep the slot booked for our session (Tuesday 20 OCTOBER 2020 from 10:30 to 11:45 UTC) during which we make an overall assessment of the ME Space activities so far and explore the way forward for the space. What do you think? We very much wish to read your feedback.
