Hi Layal, How did we come up with DNSSEC as a topic? It’s fine if you and Amin chose it but you had opened a thread to discuss suggestions so I thought the community was going to have a role in choosing the topic? Was it discussed at Middle East DNS forum? If we want to make a meaningful statement on that we need to have: operators, domain name registrants, ISPs and cctlds based in Middle East. They face implementation challenges which needs to be discussed. Otherwise many give lip service to DNSSEC and say it’s great. Dear All, Thanks for this message inviting New draft members. I didn't know what exactly "security extension" meant and Googled the term. Google Cloud provides the following definition: The Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) is a feature of the Domain Name System (DNS) that authenticates responses to domain name lookups. It does *not* provide privacy protections for those lookups, but prevents attackers from manipulating or poisoning the responses to DNS requests. Is this a definition that all Middke East grouo members agree on or do you have other definitions for "security extension"? Hi Nebiye DNSSEC it is an extension to provide 2 things, authentication and integrity of the DNS data. It is standardized by the IETF in the RFCs 4033, 4034, and 4035.
