Dear all, As you know, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ME Space started a series of remote activities by addressing the topic of Universal Acceptance (UA) and Internationalization of Email Addresses (IEA) using Arabic Script. Therefore, we organized a webinar to update our community on the various aspects of the issue, and now we are in the phase of preparing a statement expressing the consensus opinion of the ME community thereupon. This is a call for volunteers to draft a statement about “Universal Acceptance (UA) and Internationalization of Email Addresses (IEA) using Arabic Scrip”. The drafting team shouldn’t exceed 5 to 6 members for the efficiency. This call will close on 8 May 2020 at 12:00 UTC. Best Nadira Al Araj & Tinani BEN JEMAA

Hi, Thanks for the statement I might not be able to attend today's call but I want to ask a clarifying question here. Reading the statement, I see recommendations and requests of different nature but it is not clear to who this statement is addressed or will be sent? For example, I see the mention of GAC proposals but those seem requiring implementation at the national level. Maybe re-ordering the recommendations and indicating the target stakeholders would be helpful. That will be effective for follow-up and communicating with relevant parties. Hi, Thanks for the new draft. I notice that recommendations under "stakeholders" seem addressed to ccNSO and ccNSO members.
