The ARIN community will hold its 21st Public Policy and Members Meetings next week in Denver, Colorado. The entire meeting will be webcast and available for participation remotely to all who cannot attend in person. Your participation in the ARIN policy and other processes is very important. Viewing the webcast of this meeting is an excellent way for you to stay informed of all policy and technical discussion taking place inside the ARIN region. The remote participation facilities go a step further and give you the same full interactive access to the ARIN Public Policy Meeting, just as if you were physically in the meeting room in Denver. Questions and statements you submit using ARIN's remote participation facilities can be brought to the floor microphone by a member of the ARIN staff. Webcast and remote participation information is available at this link. http://www.arin.net/ARIN-XXI/webcast.html Anyone may participate in ARIN's policy process and this meeting. You do not have to be a member of ARIN or pay a fee to use these remote participation facilities. You do, however, need to register to participate remotely in advance of the meeting. If you are interested in participating in ARIN's Internet Resource Policy Evaluation Process or just the meeting in general, please take advantage of the remote participation facilities. There are several policy proposals currently under discussion by the ARIN community and we encourage you to participate. One example of the policy proposals currently under discussion is 2008-3: Community Networks IPv6 Allocation. This policy proposal seeks to change ARIN's Number Resource Policy Manual to allow for IPv6 assignments to community networks. You can find this policy proposal along with all the others on the agenda for the Denver meeting at the following link. http://www.arin.net/ARIN-XXI/agenda.html You can also find the proposals in the "Policies" section of the ARIN website. This section of the ARIN website provides a description and links to the ARIN Number Resource Policy Manual (NRPM), Internet Resource Policy Evaluation Process (IRPEP), and the archive of all active proposals under discussion. You will also find information on this page about how to participate in the ARIN policy process. Again, there are no fees or membership required to participate. Anyone may participate. http://www.arin.net/policy/index.html Warm regards, Richard Jimmerson Chief Information Officer American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN)
