However, I wonder about the statement that 85% of UDRP claims are settled in favour of the complainant. Is that really because so many of the disputes are over clear cases of cybersquatting? Or are legitimate good-faith uses of trademark names as domains being trampled on?
It would be interesting to find out what fraction of UDRP challenges are won by default, with no response at all from the domain owner. Off the top of my head, I'd guess about 85%. R's, John
