ALS, which may have only a few members, is a sad mirror of the larger ICANN structure, which gives extraordinary weight to small constituency groups (e.g., to name only one, the ISP constituency) at the relative expense of interested unaffiliated ICANN participants. If I'm not mistaken, this is something that ALAC and NARALO specifically have had issues with. How curious then to see the NARALO rules perpetuate that same kind of inequality.
Right now there are fewer than 30 people eligible as unaffiliated members. That is far smaller than the membership of almost every ALS in this region. You're perfectly welcome to choose those things in life that upset you, but IMO this is just petty. - Evan PS: Why is being chummy an insult? Would you prefer a hostile environment? Not I.
