On behalf of NARALO leadership, we would like to announce that the 2024 call for nominations for NARALO leadership positions is now open.
*Positions Open: * Please refer to the 2024 NARALO Regional Elections <https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/2024+NARALO+Regional+Selections> workspace for a comprehensive list of all available positions and whether current holders of the positions are eligible for re-selection.
The terms for all leadership positions are two years and will run from the end of the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) to the end of the 2026 AGM.
For the**NARALO Delegates to the NomCom, NARALO may make one or more recommendations for the consideration of the ALAC. The appointment of NomCom delegates is carried out by the ALAC.
*NARALO Selection Timetable for 2024*
* 28 March 2024 - Announcement of call for nominations and Nominee's Statement. * 28 March 2024 – 28 April 2024 - Nomination period (see NARALO ROP article 6.4.1) * 3 May 2024 - Deadline for nomination acceptances, submit a Candidate statement, complete/update their SOIs and confirm they meet the qualifications for candidacy. * 6 May 2024 - 9 May 2024- Calls with the candidates (if desired). * 10 May - 24 May 2024 - Elections (If required, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for nomination acceptances and end no later than two weeks after that deadline). * 2024 AGM [ ICANN81] - Newly elected ALAC Members and RALOs Leaders shall be seated at the end of the 2024 AGM following the close of the Board Meeting on 14 November 2024.
*Process for Nominations: *All nominees are expected to submit a brief statement explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate to At-Large staff <mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org>. All nominees must also complete or update their Statement of Interest (see: At-Large New SOIs Workspace <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__community.icann.org_dis...>).
Nominations including self-nominations, /mus/t be made directly to the NARALO mailing list and by sending a note to At-Large staff <mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org>.
