We can approach it either way, as a one-shot or as a permanent change. We might as well propose to change the OP while we're at it; that document is not a charter and can easily be amended by a regular vote/consensus. We can make two decisions on Monday: - Shorten the nomination period this time only - Make the change to the OP Given real-world experience with it, I don't see a function for the extended nomination period, even if we were not under a compressed timeline. - Evan
