Maybe include an orientation regarding how to effectively and efficiently use and participate in the various lists, ICANN website, Wikis, Dashboards; and models or suggestions for effective ALS participation (i.e., if you do not have time to cover all issues, how to efficiently track and participate in limited issues). Maybe the ALS' who have been successful at this could give short presentations. Hopefully this activity will ease the call for NOTA voting...
Personally I had given up on trying to get NOTA in this election. I realized that at this point in time I am in a small minority. But since all I really want is for there to be choices, yes, the existence of multiple names on the ballot eliminates my personal need to see NOTA listed on at least the single candidate ballots. avri ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Mon, 30 Jul 2012 19:33:02 +0000 From: "Thompson, Darlene" <DThompson1@GOV.NU.CA> Subject: [NA-Discuss] General Assembly in Toronto To: "na-discuss@atlarge-lists.icann.org" <na-discuss@atlarge-lists.icann.org> Message-ID: <97657EF9087F754BBF54D3D0322DAD0F03E07BDC@IQALUITMX07.nunavut.local> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Hi all, As you know, we will be having a GA in Toronto where we will have the luxury of spending two hours together to hash over anything that we want. Hi All I have a response from Michael Geist and his speaker fees are not realistic for our event.
We need someone to be inspirational and engaging and free. Did I say free!
I appeal to our community for your suggestions, especially someone local.
I am sure we can afford a modest gift out of our budget but not a speaker fee. Please provide your feedback before our Working Group call so I can provide some alternatives.
As it stands Google as a major sponsor will be speaking on the IMPORTANCE OF STAKEHOLDERS and CIRA and AFFILIAS as cosponsors would be interested as well as short speakers ( could be well wishes)

Also, I think that it will be a good thing to have a professional meeting facilitator to generate discussion withing the group. Maybe have a group exercise just to get acquainted?, etc etc. After all, two hours is not that much time. -ed On Mon, Jul 30, 2012 at 3:33 PM, Thompson, Darlene <DThompson1@gov.nu.ca>wrote:
