I think the issue is that idea of an At Large Director is now out for public comment: http://icann.org/en/public-comment/#al-director (comment period closes on 31 July 2010) yet on Wednesday, 21 July 2010, the At Large issued a call for statements of interest for an ALAC-selected Board member, presupposing that the proposed bylaw revisions would be adopted. -- Bret
