Nick and all, Moving to stop what Danny proposes demonstrates a lack of cooperation. Yet, I also do not fully support what Danny has proposed in that again, the ALAC is actually not capable and/or knowledgeable to undertake such a endeavor. However it should be and can be. None the less the NARALO and/or the whole of the ALAC should at a minimum make Danny's suggestion an agenda item in some form. An open WG by the GNSO would be better method of correcting this huge judgment error on the part of the ICANN staff. Nick Ashton-Hart wrote:
With respect to their being a discussion in NARALO on this subject, I think nothing can stop you Mr. Chairman :)

Danny thank you for this... I have asked Nick on Skype that this subject/ request be put into the next ALAC Meeting Agenda (Sept 9th) and with your permission would like to post your text, in this email, as background / support for the ensuing discussion...
So you mean that NARALO won't need to endorse it and send it to ALAC, at its meeting the day before? ;-)
It'll still be on our agenda; I would like to encourage everyone in NARALO is aware of the situation and stand unanimously behind Danny's proposal.
