To the NARALO Community:
I am seeking election as NARALO's representative to the ALAC to strengthen the connection between technical realities and end-user interests within ICANN policy development.
I joined NARALO with a clear purpose: to ensure that end-users are meaningfully represented in discussions that are often highly technical and difficult to translate into real-world impact. Issues such as DNS security, routing resilience, and infrastructure integrity directly affect users, yet are not always communicated in ways that enable informed participation. I aim to help bridge that gap.
Based in Montreal, Quebec, I bring over 25 years of experience in ISP operations, cloud engineering, and enterprise infrastructure support. In my current role with Microsoft Azure, I work on large-scale systems that underpin internet reliability, security, and trust—areas that closely align with ICANN's mission and ALAC's advisory role.
What I Have Contributed
My candidacy builds on active contributions within the ICANN and broader internet governance ecosystem. Over the past year, I have participated in the RSSAC Caucus, including the RSSAC001v3 Work Party revision process, and followed emerging technical developments through the IETF AIPREF Working Group. I also engaged with regional internet governance by applying to the ARIN Advisory Council in 2025.
Within NARALO, I initiated a DNS abuse member guide designed to provide a practical, plain-language resource to help end-users understand and mitigate DNS-related risks. The initiative has received strong encouragement from respected NARALO members and is progressing toward becoming a formal NARALO deliverable.
I want to be direct: DNS abuse mitigation is not a new topic, and while other ICANN communities have been educating their memberships for years, NARALO has not. This gap is inconsistent with our obligations as the At-Large voice for North American end-users. If elected, closing this gap will be a top priority through the DNS abuse member guide, monthly call programming, and a sustainable capacity-building model.
Additionally, I co-led the Bengali localization of a 10-module Internet Governance curriculum piloted at the University of Dhaka. This reflects my commitment to digital inclusion and Universal Acceptance as practical, implementable actions.
What I Will Bring to the ALAC
If elected, I will contribute in four key areas:
1. Providing a technically grounded perspective on DNS abuse, Protective DNS, DNSSEC, and encrypted DNS to ensure policy advice is evidence-based and focused on user protection.
2. Advancing Universal Acceptance and multilingual participation for underserved communities.
3. Monitoring emerging policy discussions at the intersection of AI and internet infrastructure.
4. Strengthening the connection between NARALO and ALAC to ensure regional input is effectively integrated into policy outcomes, evidenced by regular reporting and the adoption of regional recommendations.
Commitment to the NARALO Community
I believe effective representation requires attention to community health. I will work to support an environment where new members can participate confidently, where discussions are substantive, and where volunteer contributions are recognized and valued.

I am seeking this role not as a title, but as a continuation of ongoing work. My contributions through the RSSAC, the DNS abuse guide initiative, and curriculum localization reflect my approach to service.
