Thanks to all for the vote of confidence.. Here is more details on the idea ICANN has created introductory guidebooks for newcomers/ learners on various aspects of the ICANN Ecospace. These materials are either limited print format or on a non interactive PDF Format This proposal suggests an updating of the materials to become E Book resources for use on mobile, Kindle and other devices. Secondly the material would take advantage of the add on feature of audio reading capability providing audio transcription to the existing materials Key Benefits - Ebooks are searchable. You can easily search for any information in an ebook, instead of turning page after page. - Ebooks can be interactive and contain audio, video and animations, which can enhance the message that the author is trying to convey. - Subscribers to Ebooks get automatic notifications of updates for downloading so the most current versions are always available and distributed - Tracking of downloads and clicks throughs - Free widescale distribution channels to distribute Ebooks ie. Google Play, Archive.org, Itunes, Amazon and more Glenn McKnight mcknight.glenn@gmail.com skype gmcknight twitter gmcknight . The Finance and Budget for FY16 has asked for submissions for consideration . I have proposed to the committee the idea of converting the myriad of ALAC Training materials into E Books with Audio recording capacity to enable the community to use the resources on their phones and e-readers. This expands the utility of these resources beyond the pdf format, plus it provides more accessibility for the resources.
I am posting a request from NARALO on the community interest in supporting this idea
Thanks
