Evan and all, I don't know about the "Greater Good" part, but otherwise yes, ICANN isn't and never has been interested in paying for anything. Travel expenses not withstanding. But if you kiss up to the ICANN staff and Bod, they might be willing to toss a few $$ towards travel expenses.
