From my limited point of view, the PIR advisory council would genuinely benefit from Evan's counsel and his fierce, yet reasoned independence.

Given that I was rather ... outspoken ... regarding ISOC's attempt to sell off PIR, my application may be DOA, but it's worth a try. (It was that very attempt, and the lack of community consultation that accompanied it, which got my interest in this position in the first place.)
