Do we really need a four week nomination period? IMO this could be cut in half.
We would suggest that the online voting system used previously in various regions at www.bigpulse.com <http://www.bigpulse.com <http://www.bigpulse.com/> > (and which is used for all ALAC votes including for ALS Applications). The staff would administer these votes through the system, in all cases allowing independent verification via a URL located on the BigPulse servers which would provide the results of votes held.
I would, therefore, like to open the period for nominations starting today. We then have four weeks to accept nominations/volunteers.
I would like to propose closing the nominations two weeks from the NARALO conference call (this Monday), which would make the deadline August 16 instead of September 4 or 12.
