Hi Dharma, What I would really like to see is some brief reporting on what occurs which is of direct relevance to us as users based in North America. So, for me, what would be ideal is: * An occasional update - once a day or every two days, giving a very quick summary of what people are talking about, with an emphasis on anything that would impact North American users i.e. little attention paid to opening speeches are or what people think about Internet connectivity in Africa, and more on what decisions are being made that may impact users (and domain owners) in North America. * An after-the-meeting report summarizing what happened with the occasional insight from yourself, especially with respect to any conversations you had that were interesting to you - and why they were interesting. Also any sessions you attended that you thought were worthwhile with links to the relevant webpage. If none of them were interesting then just don't say anything about them - we can live without knowing. * I'd like to know what the ALAC *achieved* in Durban i.e. the end results. Definitely not interested in a summary of the long discussions. If objectively nothing was achieved, then say so. * I'd like to know what our NARALO representatives said on our behalf and the response that it elicited. * I'd like to know if there is something that we, as North American users, could do or should do going forward to help with any issues that are important. Hope that's helpful feedback. Hi All,
You voted to send me to Durban to support the Secretary. As I understand it, Darlene will still be participating as Secretary remotely. I'm seeking clarity / suggestions on the best use of my time in Durban in my capacity as pinch secretary. Are there specific meetings I should attend? Are you expecting / hoping for documentation / communication on specific events, etc?
All thoughts / advice / two cents are appreciated.
