Hi I was thinking of Garth Bruen today while watching PBS and today they said that Boston got 100 feet of snow already this year. Evan and I live on the north shore of Lake Ontario and we got maybe 2 or 3 feet of snow all year. Garth good luck on digging out, perhaps by spring! It's as bad as it seems. Everything is running like molasses here. It's been impossible to get anything done, we've basically had a blizzard every week this month. There is nowhere to put the snow. I will send some pictures when I have a chance. Sure, other parts of the country routinely get more snow, but this is a major urban area where the roads and trains are completely shut for entire days by this. People are rolling into work 2 or 3 hours late and not getting home until 8pm Everyone has damage, we have 3 major leaks in our roof, there's no chance of them getting fixed for months. Get a fleet of hairdryers on the job... problem then is flooding, which will be a real concern when it all starts to warm up. I will we could have it on the West coast... our drought is getting "too real." On Thu, Feb 19, 2015 at 7:26 AM, <gbruen@knujon.com> wrote:

Right, Evan, good article! Seems surprising here in a country getting more than it's share of rainfall, but when you see investments have lagged, deforestation continues in the Amazon, and global climate change, problems are real. São Paulo metro area has over 20 million people, Rio I guess about 13 million. Attached are some Stratfor analyses of water problems in various countries. So if US northeast is ready to export, in frozen or liquid form, there could be a market! Cheers, Peter ---- Peter T. The US states and Canadian provinces that border on the Great Lakes have agreed that people are welcome to all the water they want, but they have to come and drink it here. So, sorry, can't do it. We now return you to the usual discusson sort of related to something that might have some connection to ICANN. R's, John
Garth, here in Rio it's 100 F and very humid (weather.com says it "feels like 110). Luckily a breeze of the water, but it comes from the North, and here that means hot! Also, in January, and especially February with Carnaval that just ended, nothing much and few people work. At least you can go out and do a bit of Xcountry skiing! Cheers, Peter ---- Peter T.
