Hi All I agree with Judith's request for folks to comment on the NOMCOM2 review see page for background https://community.icann.org/display/OR/Nominating+Committee+%28NomCom%29+Rev... I like to shout to Raoul who during the public consultation sessions, Raoul was very outspoken to the committee to have fair and equitable representation on the NOMCOM and he was clear to the committee that the rotating NOMCOM seat has not been shared and that the committee is not hearing from the Non Profit sector voices. This is a serious issue since the private sector is only one community and we need a balanced approach to the important selection of representation. The last EC meeting last week I brought up the call for comments on the NOMCOM review as well as the feedback requested on diversity and equity with the Fellowship program. HI All,
Hope everyone got your ballot. If you have not received the ballot, and you have checked in, please let Andrea know, so she can investigate. If you use Gmail, do look in the promotions or social category, as the ballot may have gone there.
Also if you are interested in getting involved on policy issues please join the policy committee. There is one public comment out on the NomCom2 Review that I have drafted along with Peter Akinremi from the NCUC which needs to be finalised this week as the due date on the Public Comment is May 29. If you are interested in commenting, I can send the link to the Google doc. I am running for Policy Chair and my goal is to get more members to be active on Operational Policy issues such as the NomCom Review, Strategic Plan, Multi-stakeholder model. As you can see I am passionate about ICANN policy issues and also in raising the profile of NPOC both with in the NCSG but also with in the GNSO and other areas. To do that, we need more involvement of NPOC participants in policy issues such as the NomCom2 Review.
Hope everyone has a good week and remembers to cast your vote.
Best,
Judith
