Dear members, As Andrea has mentioned, the CROP opportunity has passed and is not available anymore. This is a pity as CROP is always a good opportunity for members to get more actively involved in ICANN DNS policy. As we are surprised about this outcome, we would like to understand better why no requests were submitted. Maybe it was inconvenient due to timing, due to regional constraints or any other reason. To start with it was not easy to identify the region that's covered. The letter says we should refer to the document to know the coverage. It would have been easier if it was clearly indicated that the region that it covers are Africa, Europe etc etc. Secondly for me I told myself even if I applied I would not get it, so why waste my energy. Hi Raymond, I believe the initial announcement was clear where it noted the qualifying regions which obviously did not have Africa as the meeting is not holding in Africa but in the GSE Middle East Region (Istanbul) as stated by Andrea in her initial email. For reference purposes, see the link to how regions are categorized in ICANN via the GSE https://drive.google.com/file/d/14seX2l_Gq5rE97gbr38i1EuUbKRZ5GHl/view Secondly, I would not know if you have moved from Ghana Africa to the Middle East GSE region. If then, I would have hoped you applied as I know the process is transparent enough because all the executives will be voting for the best candidate that applied based on preset criteria that match CROP. By the way, CROP can only be used in a region where a meeting is holding. However, I encourage you to continue to participate and trust the EC will always make the best judgment to stimulate engagement of our members. *Post CROP Report:*
The successful CROP candidate will provide the EC with a standard CROP report including all meetings that participated and also prepare a blog writeup sharing experiences he/she had during the meeting and how it contributed to the NPOC Outreach engagement no later than a week after the meeting finished.
The successful candidate would be expected to fill out the CROP Travel Assessment Form to evaluate how their expectations and goals were accomplished.

The successful CROP candidate will provide the EC with a standard CROP report including all meetings that participated and also prepare a blog writeup sharing experiences he/she had during the meeting and how it contributed to the NPOC Outreach engagement no later than a week after the meeting finished.
The successful candidate would be expected to fill out the CROP Travel Assessment Form to evaluate how their expectations and goals were accomplished.

*Expectations:*
The selected candidate is expected to actively participate in all NCSG/NPOC meeting sessions. Additionally, the EC may delegate outreach and other responsibilities to the attendee during the event.
