Hello everyone, Thank you, Juan, for nominating me for the Communications Chair role and to Poncelet, Remmy and everyone who seconded this nomination. I am honoured by your trust in my abilities. Unfortunately I have decided not to run in the upcoming elections. My work schedule is now more demanding than ever and I have had to evaluate and step-down from some of my commitments. It has been such an honour serving the NPOC community alongside the various ECs that I have had to pleasure of working with. Dear All, Thank you for the nomination and for your trust and confidence. Unfortunately, I decided to take a break from leadership positions, as the next 8-10 months will be very difficult for me timewise as I will juggle with my PhD final steps and defense, alongside several work projects. I cannot commit to be as involved as I used to be, it is already proving difficult. I think this is the fair thing to do, also to allow other members, who have more time, to have this opportunity. I may run again next year or in the future, but not now. I will thus not run for VC in this election in NPOC. On a different note, I would like to show my support for Caleb's nomination as Membership Committee Chair. I have had the honor to work alongside him in NPOC and he is always adding value to his job. He has proven his dedication and commitment for NPOC since he joined, and has shown both leadership skills and talent in managing NPOC's Membership drive and strategy despite the challenges experienced during this COVID 19 period with lots of uncertainty. Recently, I worked alongside him and other EC members in organizing the NPOC webinar series which adjudge some level of success credit. I am confident he will do a great job on membership strategy and engagement, where he will continue to apply what he has learned in the last one year as the membership chair. While I have seen him work and even worked alongside him several times and has shown a lot of patience, respect and excellent diplomatic skills, even when we had differences in vision. I have big hopes for Caleb's future within NPOC! Caleb, hope you will accept this nomination! Thank you for the nomination and for your trust and confidence.
Unfortunately, I decided to take a break from leadership positions, as the next 8-10 months will be very difficult for me timewise as I will juggle with my PhD final steps and defense, alongside several work projects. I cannot commit to be as involved as I used to be, it is already proving difficult. I think this is the fair thing to do, also to allow other members, who have more time, to have this opportunity. I may run again next year or in the future, but not now. I will thus not run for VC in this election in NPOC.
On a different note, I would like to show my support for Caleb's nomination as Membership Committee Chair. I have had the honor to work alongside him in NPOC and he is always adding value to his job. He has proven his dedication and commitment for NPOC since he joined, and has shown both leadership skills and talent in managing NPOC's Membership drive and strategy despite the challenges experienced during this COVID 19 period with lots of uncertainty. Recently, I worked alongside him and other EC members in organizing the NPOC webinar series which adjudge some level of success credit.
I am confident he will do a great job on membership strategy and engagement, where he will continue to apply what he has learned in the last one year as the membership chair. While I have seen him work and even worked alongside him several times and has shown a lot of patience, respect and excellent diplomatic skills, even when we had differences in vision. I have big hopes for Caleb's future within NPOC!
Caleb, hope you will accept this nomination!

Unfortunately, I decided to take a break from leadership positions, as the next 8-10 months will be very difficult for me timewise as I will juggle with my PhD final steps and defense, alongside several work projects. I cannot commit to be as involved as I used to be, it is already proving difficult. I think this is the fair thing to do, also to allow other members, who have more time, to have this opportunity. I may run again next year or in the future, but not now. I will thus not run for VC in this election in NPOC.
On a different note, I would like to show my support for Caleb's nomination as Membership Committee Chair. I have had the honor to work alongside him in NPOC and he is always adding value to his job. He has proven his dedication and commitment for NPOC since he joined, and has shown both leadership skills and talent in managing NPOC's Membership drive and strategy despite the challenges experienced during this COVID 19 period with lots of uncertainty. Recently, I worked alongside him and other EC members in organizing the NPOC webinar series which adjudge some level of success credit.
I am confident he will do a great job on membership strategy and engagement, where he will continue to apply what he has learned in the last one year as the membership chair. While I have seen him work and even worked alongside him several times and has shown a lot of patience, respect and excellent diplomatic skills, even when we had differences in vision. I have big hopes for Caleb's future within NPOC!

I may run again next year or in the future, but not now. I will thus not run for VC in this election in NPOC.
On a different note, I would like to show my support for Caleb's nomination as Membership Committee Chair. I have had the honor to work alongside him in NPOC and he is always adding value to his job. He has proven his dedication and commitment for NPOC since he joined, and has shown both leadership skills and talent in managing NPOC's Membership drive and strategy despite the challenges experienced during this COVID 19 period with lots of uncertainty. Recently, I worked alongside him and other EC members in organizing the NPOC webinar series which adjudge some level of success credit.
I am confident he will do a great job on membership strategy and engagement, where he will continue to apply what he has learned in the last one year as the membership chair. While I have seen him work and even worked alongside him several times and has shown a lot of patience, respect and excellent diplomatic skills, even when we had differences in vision. I have big hopes for Caleb's future within NPOC!
Caleb, hope you will accept this nomination!

On a different note, I would like to show my support for Caleb's nomination as Membership Committee Chair. I have had the honor to work alongside him in NPOC and he is always adding value to his job. He has proven his dedication and commitment for NPOC since he joined, and has shown both leadership skills and talent in managing NPOC's Membership drive and strategy despite the challenges experienced during this COVID 19 period with lots of uncertainty. Recently, I worked alongside him and other EC members in organizing the NPOC webinar series which adjudge some level of success credit.
I am confident he will do a great job on membership strategy and engagement, where he will continue to apply what he has learned in the last one year as the membership chair. While I have seen him work and even worked alongside him several times and has shown a lot of patience, respect and excellent diplomatic skills, even when we had differences in vision. I have big hopes for Caleb's future within NPOC!

Name : Caleb Ogundele Affiliation: African Academic Network on Internet Policy (AANOIP) Position applied for: Membership Committee Chair Why you are running for the position?: It is very important to connect with members who are stakeholders for growth . Engaging with other stakeholders and varied interests within the ICANN community to understand the work that NPOC does with the view of serving as a more vocal voice of reasoning and logic during engagements with other communities within and beyond ICANN Additionally, the bedrock of the GNSO which NPOC is part of is the policy and public comments for the Not-for-Profit Orgs. I have participated in a couple of draft documents used to engage within the NCSG and NPOC. As part of these efforts, I have tried to stimulate the interest while communicating with members by calling their attention to public comments that they can participate and contribute to. Recently, during a major internet governance meeting in my region, I and another member of the NPOC Excom carried out outreach to engage Not-for-Profit, Civil Society domain owners who previously never had a clear understanding of what they stand to benefit in participating in ICANN and by extension NPOC. This was done through a panel session and distribution of promotional materials of NPOC. I strongly believe that if elected as your membership committee chair, my work within the leadership of the NPOC will reflect actionable outcomes, increase in NPOC’s membership activities, member’s quarterly “ask-your-executives anything” sessions, educational webinars as well as outreach and engagements that serves all member’s interest. I represent diversity, age and regional wise and with the support of members, they will continue to experience a bottom-up approach consensus to DNS Policy engagement with a focus on realizing the ICANN's multistakeholder PDP missions. Additionally, I am also active within regional affiliations such as AFRINIC, ISOC-NG Chapter, Nigerian IGF MAG and AFRALO and currently in a couple of working groups within ICANN. Hello NPOC members, Thank you Raymond for the nomination and I appreciate it. I am Sarata Omane and I accept the nomination for Policy Committee Chair. I will bring in ideas and skills to support the good works that have been done over the years. I am willing to put in the hours as long as it is required. I nominate Sarata Omane as the Policy Committee Chair. Sarata has been an ICANN Fellow on several occasions, and also a Fellow of the Africa School on Internet Governance. She is actively engaged in several local initiatives in Ghana to bring more folks to the internet governance ecosystem. I have personally been working with her on several initiatives here in Ghana and she is very supportive. She coming to the role of the Policy Chair will bring new dimensions to the NPOC EC.
Sarata will be a good add on to the NPOC leadership since she is extremely hardworking and can perform the role of the Policy Chair very well.
