Unfortunately I will miss tomorrow's meeting as I'll be on a plane at the time. Cheers, -- Wes Hardaker USC/ISI
Dear All, Apologies for sending this late, I just realised the email was composed and for some reason, it was not sent. The confusion on the use of "former service address" is in section 3.2.2 . "An RSO is expected to provide advance notification to the Internet community not less than six months prior to the change of service address. Such notification should include the current service address, the future service address, and the scheduled date of the change. It may also include the reason for the change, the intention for operating the former service address, and whether instances solely serving the former service address will be uniquely identified " The is the 1st place in the document where "former service address" was used and it state that "the intention for operating the former service address" Here the confusion is with the word "intention for operating the former service address" Intension seems like a future thing and it look like something that would happen in future. My understanding of that what is meant here is the intention on the future use of the former service address. The public notification happens before the change, so technically what is meant is the future use of the current service address once it becomes a former service address. I've made a slight change to the text. Can you take a look and see if it addresses your concern?
