Dear Team Members, For your information -- a public comment period has opened on ICANN's fiscal year 2013 budget framework: http://www.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-17jan12-en.htm Community input is solicited early in our 5 month-long budget process to help prioritize ICANN's work and expenditures in the coming fiscal year (which starts 1 July). You'll note Whois-related priorities in the initial draft, and once the Team's report has been finalized and acted upon by the Board any resulting implementation will be captured in future drafts/budgets. In parallel, the Board is expected to act on ICANN's proposed 2012-2015 Strategic Plan in the next few weeks (http://www.icann.org/en/planning/). Speaking of the Board... we should have a proposed time slot for both the Team's conference call with Board members and a meeting with the Board in Costa Rica shortly. Diane and Alice are working out details. (It is a particularly busy time for the Board so please bear with us.) In addition, the Team's public forum is on the Costa Rica meeting schedule, which will be finalized for publication early next month.
