Request for AGB related sessions at ICANN83
Dear IRT members, We are reaching out about our planned ‘AGB roadshow’ before and during ICANN83. As you know, we are working towards launching the Public Comment on the whole draft Applicant Guidebook on 30 May at the latest for a period of 50 days. In the run up to the Prague meeting, the New gTLD Program team will hold a prep week session on the status of the Program. The team also plans to provide a stand-alone webinar on key sections of the Applicant Guidebook, once it is out for Public Comment. We will have a number of SMEs on the ground in Prague and plan to hold at least one IRT session on the AGB, likely with a similar content as we will provide during the aforementioned webinar, and one session that provides an update from the Outreach, Engagement, and Communications team. We would also like to offer to present on specific topics to your respective community groups. E.g., this could be in the form of providing details on specific topics or just sitting in on your discussions and providing clarification or background information, e.g. in case your community group holds a working session on the Public Comment. We kindly ask that you confer with your community groups if you’d like someone from our team to attend any of your meetings during ICANN83 and if so let us know, off-list, by 30 April 2025. If you have any questions, please reach out at any time. Thank you! Best, Elisa P.S.: We will send a similar message to the SO/AC leaders and include a short note in an upcoming Community Digest<https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/x/qAL2Bg>, too.
Thanks Elisa. It does strike me that the prep week session on the AGB should be at least 2 hours and maybe even 2 sessions of 90 minutes each. The number of important topics to be summarized is huge. Dear all, Thank you already for the constructive feedback on this – I like it, to. However … my concern is the timing here. The AGB is due to go out for comment on 30 May and the team will likely work until the last minute to get everything published on time. Preparing 3 in-depth webinar session for the following week (so in parallel with getting the AGB published) is a very big ask. In addition that is also the week when travel to Prague already starts. Thererfore, I think in the week preceding Prague, maybe on the Monday or Tuesday (2 or 3 June) a general overview webinar is more realistic from a staff bandwidth point of view. Having said that, running a more in-depth session in the week after the week after (not a typo) ICANN83, i.e., the week of 16 June, is realistic. Maybe something to discuss in an upcoming IRT meeting. Very best. It does strike me that the prep week session on the AGB should be at least 2 hours and maybe even 2 sessions of 90 minutes each. The number of important topics to be summarized is huge. Thank you! Best, Elisa P.S.: We will send a similar message to the SO/AC leaders and include a short note in an upcoming Community Digest <https://secure-web.cisco.com/1cGurBgeHp9Pef1M9cUULLjkT9J49YWlYOaQWXVavMMCgf0...> , too. _______________________________________________ SubPro-IRT mailing list -- subpro-irt@icann.org <mailto:subpro-irt@icann.org> To unsubscribe send an email to subpro-irt-leave@icann.org <mailto:subpro-irt-leave@icann.org> _______________________________________________ By submitting your personal data, you consent to the processing of your personal data for purposes of subscribing to this mailing list accordance with the ICANN Privacy Policy (https://www.icann.org/privacy/policy <https://secure-web.cisco.com/1elKImEoRXzXr3RyZFL3lbecw6N16bOb0ucZSXLI4lerZcL...> ) and the website Terms of Service (https://www.icann.org/privacy/tos <https://secure-web.cisco.com/1DZblFm96nZp2tKF5Wvk6pB3_2tik1PWYctJulw28MLL0-f...> ).
