Press Release: New Research Reveals Marketing Leaders See Strong Potential in gTLDs Despite Knowledge Gap
Dear IRT members, As we indicated in past calls, the ICANN Global Communications team is preparing to launch a series of integrated global media campaigns to raise awareness and interest in new generic top-level domains and the New gTLD Program: Next Round. A key objective is to reach audiences beyond Europe and North America. The first of these campaigns titled: New Research Reveals Marketing Leaders See Strong Potential in gTLDs Despite Knowledge Gap<https://www.icann.org/resources/press-material/release-2025-05-20-en> launched today, 20 May 2025. The primary aim of the campaign is to increase understanding of new gTLDs and the Next Round among brand and marketing leaders, a key audience for the program.
