Hi my all Fellow Community members I would like to second few points which were been conversed in UASG community update during icann69 virtual by few of our community members and would appreciate if UASG leadership can take a deliberate decisions on them earliest and circulate with UASG community (a) One Year Period of working group chairs and vice chairs is already over, so progression of reselections should be opened and UASG community/working group members should be given the opportunity to select their chosen respective chairs and vice chairs by open nomination and voting. (b) Our Friend Mark Svancarek raised the genuine concern of during the community update that there is lack of participations and after that candidates selected by community /working group members were not able to serve because of undesirable conflict policies and issues, same should be rectified by UASG leadership in charter so that working groups do not lose positive, ideal and selected candidates in future at least. (c) It’s been high time now since the meetings time of working group calls has not changed which is providing a lot of discomfort to many community members who want to participate and join these meetings. Earlier it was mentioned that on Quarterly basis times will change by nothing such happened, so immediate polling should be done for suitable revised timings of all working group meetings. In the past five years UASG has progressed a lot and with the formation of various working groups things are progressing in the right direction. We all community members have to drive and achieve our UA mission by maximum participation and spreading its awareness. Cheers! I firmly believe that all volunteers ->including leaders<- should concentrate on contributing to UA work instead of attempting to direct what volunteer leadership should or should not do. By voting we all have selected the leaders and regulated by the UA Charter and ICANN Personnel and Board-monitored procedures, we are all (volunteers) having chosen them. If they dont perform, vote them out and work yourself to be a leader. If you learn that anything is not done according to the Charter, carry it to the ICANN Staff / UA Chair's attention. When we introduce other things to leadership to be looked at, we are asking them to consume there limited hours for UA to issues which are not necessarily productive and useful for UA mission. I strongly oppose ideas such as those of changing meeting times to accomodate non-regular contributors. When this was done in UA-Measurement, all it accomplished was to make it difficult for the regulars to attend and instead created empty meetings that no one new who supposedly wanted to contribute showed up for. All working documents from the WGs are already open for comments. Anybody who wants to be a part of the process but can't attend meetings can already comment as extensively as they want on the work being developed. "Surprisingly", it's basically the people who show up for the calls who comment on the documents. If anybody out there is waiting because meeting times don't align for them, please don't. We need your help right now. This is a lot of hard work. Follow the documents and help us come up with solutions. Hi Mark W. Datysgeld I believe that UASG is a community focused group and each opinion should be given importance, instead of just trying to suppress it. You could have your own view towards everything but that does not countenance that you are free to decree and overwhelm others feelings and put such discouraging pointers. You could choose your words sagely please. If community wants leadership to review, I believe it’s in interest of UASG and there is no harm to welcome such inputs. Let UASG leadership decide on what to be done on community views as its UA community who select leadership, so leadership must wisely choose what’s in interest of UASG.
