* Scenario 3: Tech Video [elided —JDLH]
I have put several comments into the EAI video document. Basically, I like this script as a high-level explainer of the value of EAI support in a company's email system, and I like the way it uses the Platinum-Gold-Silver language of the EAI Self-Certification Guide. However, it gets the specific meaning of those Platinum-Gold-Silver support levels wrong. That should be corrected. It has an entire section which dives into technical details and jargon like MTA, MUA, etc. I think that is a mistake. It also does not really talk about the EAI Self-Certification program, which I think is a huge missed opportunity. I propose discarding the entire technical details section, and replacing it by a section about how companies should demand Platinum-Gold-Silver certification levels in the email system which they buy, and how vendors should certify their own products and promote those ratings. I don't recall that the associated SOW for the EAI videos was run by the EAI WG for review. Nor do I think that the EAI WG has visited the meetings of the other WGs to explain the EAI Self-Certification Guide program so that they understand what we are doing. It is remarkable that even a group as small as UASG still has silos, and this can lead to disconnects.
