Dear Community Coordination Group members, Welcome to the ws2-ccg@icann.org mailing list! As previously discussed, the intent of the Community Coordination Group (CCG) is to provide you with a collaborative space for discussions relating to implementation of WS2 recommendations that can benefit from community coordination. This mailing list is to support the CCG and its work over the upcoming months. WS2 Recommendations for Community Coordination As a reminder, the Cross-Community Working Group on Accountability (CCWG-Accountability) Work Stream 2 (WS2) recommendations that appear to benefit from community coordination are Recommendation 1.1 (seven proposed elements of diversity), Recommendation 1.7 (on a process for handling complaints about diversity), and Recommendation 2.3 (on a standalone framework for exercising Empowered Community powers). The CCG may also wish to share information about implementation efforts related to Recommendation 3 (Human Rights Framework). In addressing community-wide implementation of Recommendations 1.1, 1.7, and 2.3, the WS2 CCG is expected to share information about and discuss each of its appointing communities’ views on the following: * The relevant priority of these recommendations in the context of other WS2 recommendations implementation and overall community workload. * The scope of and opportune timing for additional community consultations (as needed). * How to reach broad community agreement on these recommendations; and * What each individual community group will need to carry out any agreed implementation. To facilitate the diversity related WS2 recommendations, ICANN org will provide diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) consulting services to the CCG to help with the implementation of Recommendation 1.1 and Recommendation 1.7. See the Request for Proposal project overview, including timeline, here<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/rfp-dei-consulting-services-14ja...>. During our initial call, we will review the group’s roles and responsibilities and its scope of work (e.g., the order in which the recommendations should be reviewed) as well as your desired frequency of meetings, preliminary timelines, and other logistics.
