Hi, While I may be uncomfortable with the way it has been done on occasion, most of us (me included) sometimes need to be gently reminded that we are going on too long. The critical thing is that it be done gently, without appearing to be an admonition. We have to always remember that we all have different cultural feelings about politeness. But chairing is hard, it is not like ICANN offers courses in cross-cultural sensitivity for its chairs. Some come to an understanding easier than others.
