Hi Maureen. Agreed. There should be a portal to consolidate all of the capacity building materials for ALSes to browse. My concern with the webinars are that the webinars aren't easily reusable after the webinar. The Adobe Connect recording IMO is too clunky to be easily shared on social media or embedded on an ALS website like say a YouTube video. It also requires Adobe Flash to view, so that means its inaccessible over mobile devices. One can't save the file locally to give to someone on a flash drive (who may not have good broadband access to stream the recording) or easily reuse in any local outreach events. Great idea but as has been noted by Tijani, at least some notification to the CBWG would be appropriate so that we could at least coordinate such activities.

Hi to all: Getting familiarized with all acronyms used, thus "Effective communiction skills" entices not assumming "everuone" knows its meaning. I myselg have to invest some tie catching up with those. We also need to have some webinars on best practice used to increase / engage membership in our chapters. What are the benefits I as a member can receive from a membership in a chapter. In most cases with ean emphasis on volunteering. What can we do to have chapter meetings with measurable outcomes? Parlamentary procedures, etc. What is expected from a chapter at Regional and Global level? My main concern with all these topics is that is a "Webinar the best strategy"? In some cases it would be better to have successful chapters do 5 - 10 minutes video clips. I agree Mwendwa. There is a lot to be said for ALSes being guided by assigned mentors at ICANN meetings – and basically following them around and being introduced to people and getting them up to speed with what the working groups and RALO meetings are about so that they can participate because they are more comfortable with the people they are amongst and are better informed and supported. This is inreach/ capacity building – which I see as the same thing. Applying this to ALSes however would mean that the particular ALS already has plan to attend a particular ICANN meeting (with source of funding) and then arrangements for mentors/guide can be done pre-meeting. Overall i think its a good thing to have mentors walking one through the ICANN environ but we just need to determine how effective this can be applied in a free setup like Atlarge where most have diverse plans for the week (not like ICANN fellowship that is program specific) That said, i think another capacity building effort could be to intentionally contact Janice and say "hey let us know if you need mentors for folks interested in AtLarge" Or sending similar broadcast message to ALSes. It can also be a remote based activity and not necessarily requiring physical ICANN meeting. Applying this to ALSes however would mean that the particular ALS already has plan to attend a particular ICANN meeting (with source of funding) and then arrangements for mentors/guide can be done pre-meeting. Overall i think its a good thing to have mentors walking one through the ICANN environ but we just need to determine how effective this can be applied in a free setup like Atlarge where most have diverse plans for the week (not like ICANN fellowship that is program specific)That said, i think another capacity building effort could be to intentionally contact Janice and say "hey let us know if you need mentors for folks interested in AtLarge" Or sending similar broadcast message to ALSes. My idea of "effective communication skills " is adviced by my view that more people from ALSes are not able to participate effectively because they have the perceived view that they cannot express themselves well enough,  and even if they can, they don't have the confidence to do so. My view is from observations and interaction with other participants. Probably if we demystify how easy it is to participate in the difference platforms at our disposal,  we can start to see more people in these spaces.I hope this is clearer.
