Hi Bill I have only seen one report-survey of past fellows and their engagement and it was pretty obvious that the vast majority is AWOL. Dev and myself created a database of the NexGen and Fellows and it shows the number of repeat fellowships which could be construed as potential active member. If those we have selected as Next Gen are disappearing afterwards, that would suggest that either our selection criteria need to be reexamined or we have a serious need to provide some form of transition to regular participation.
Whether there is the same need with Fellows depends on what the goals of the fellowship program are. That is, are we looking to increase awareness across the outside world? Or do we hope for involvement with ICANN and/or the other institutions of Internet governance?
