It has taken a long time, but the documentation for the decertification of two NARALO ALSes is now complete. I am making the following two motions and ask for another ALAC member to second them. I understand a vote is set to begin once seconded. Such decertification is subject ICANN Board Reconsideration as per Article IV, Section 2 of the ICANN Bylaws and is done without prejudice to any future re-application of this organization for certification as an ALS, or the application for ALS certification of any other group bearing the same name. ============================ Whereas the ALAC Rules of Procedures and the associated Adjunct Document 04 At-Large Structure Framework allows the ALAC to decertify an At-Large Structure (ALS); Whereas, as documented at https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/The+Alberta+Community+Network+As..., the ALAC and NARALO have determined that the ALS Alberta Community Network Association (ACNA) either no longer exists or no longer satisfies the requirements to be an ALS as identified in the At-Large Structure Framework, and/or the ALS requirements as outlined in the RALOs rules; It is resolved that the ALAC decertifies the ALS Alberta Community Network Association (ACNA) as an ICANN At-Large Structure. Hi Alan I’ll be happy to second -(but with a bit of regret since if formalises the loss of Beau, who was a real champion of consumer rights in the ALAC space) Holly On 15 Aug 2014, at 10:11 am, Alan Greenberg <alan.greenberg@mcgill.ca> wrote:
