Dear all Thanks for the work done on the Hot-Topics initiative, which is now coming to a close. However, before we close, we have one more step, which is to prepare a 2-3 page document on the findings. In the last RALO Leadership call, we were informed that AFRALO had done their hot topics document pretty well, and that it would be good if we could 'package' our findings in a similar way. The AFRALO document is available here: https://community.icann.org/display/AFRALO/HOT+TOPICS+Implementation+Working... I have started work on it by creating a new document, which is available here, and put down the summary of our findings into it: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ak56aVRPpl1Z5HM290EZc_DjR7sxldlNpPHwYSEt... (Document edit is enabled for all) What we need to do now is to highlight any regional specificities for the policy topics. For instance, for Geographic Name gTLDs, is there something that we wish to highlight as something unique to Asia-Pacific?
From previous feedback, two areas that I'm aware where APAC may have special interest are IDNs and Application Support (under new gTLDs). Is there anything else we would like to add to this document?
Once we have the document ready, we can use it for inputs to CPWG, ATLAS3 or for general outreach & engagement. We can get staff support for the final layout, formatting etc. Thanks and regards, satish
