Short of using a product from a non-US provider, there is no cure... apart from the fact that most of the people in the affected countries have mastered the use of VPN, for the simple reason that in many of these countries, some services are blocked locally and others services are also blocked due to OFAC. So I don't know it is a real issue. BTW the situation in UAE is patchy. I have managed to use ZOOM in many parts of the country without VPN. When blocked, I just used VPN & problem solved.
