Hi Nick, I've already written to Baher about this, but just to make sure I've communicated this on time: I assume this Dubai Regional Meeting is truly regional. As such I wish to emphasize the readiness of .ir ccTLD to contribute to the meeting. We have had value experience and relatively good success both in running a ccTLD and in IDNs that may be of use to others in the community. Siavash (for .ir)
Dear All: I have just received word that ICANN is holding a regional outreach meeting in Dubai from 1 to 3 April 2008. The meeting is for policy makers, managers of country code top level domains (cctlds) and Internet businesses in this region. The agenda for the meeting is designed to address three main themes: a broad introduction to the ICANN multi-stakeholder model; challenges and opportunities in the registry and registrar businesses; and an introduction and discussion of internationalized domain names.
