To me, the key sentence is a fair statement: "ICANN has made significant progress in several key areas, but most participants agree that important work remains to increase institutional confidence through implementing effective processes that will enable: long term stability; accountability; responsiveness; continued private sector leadership, stakeholder participation; increased contract compliance; and enhanced competition." I would be interested to hear what others think, especially those outside the U.S. who have an understandable desire to see ICANN out from under U.S. Gov't oversight.
