Karl - I have no idea what your going on about - as usual. In fact the site you are a looking at is the English default site for Peking University. The site seen at http://xn--1lq90ic7fzpc.xn--fiqs8s/ is the same as
It's the same site as http://xn--1lq90ic7fzpc.cn which you can resolve perfectly well from the real root. I agree that ICANN needs to get its IDN act together, but the nonsense about "alternative" roots is really tired.
