Alan, I am sure that I can get others to participate. When the PDP was first launched we folks on the General Assembly discussion list debated the issues at length and submitted a 35-page report to the Council along with individual statements and individual "papers". Members of the GA also were the bulk of the contributors in the RAA WG. So yes, "others" can be brought on Board. As to whether ALAC members will participate... who knows? Their track record thus far has not exactly been as commendable as one might expect, but I am encouraged by the remarks of the ALAC chair to Patrick, namely "We need input RIGHT NOW on the new gTLD document from the GNSO". Perhaps the ALAC will respond to the admonition from the Chair, and perhaps they will heed the gentle reminders from Roberto that it would be "nice" and "important" to have "some participation providing input in the policy development process". We'll have to see if we will get any ALAC volunteers, or not. A show of hands might be nice... who on the ALAC will commit to a "significant effort" on behalf of the user community? ____________________________________________________________________________________ Building a website is a piece of cake.
