Thank you Mohamed, for the clarifying words. Nevertheless, the rush for membership just before the Mexico meeting is pulling my eye on what could be more important. Knowing the new GTLD's debates will probably enforce certain maneuvers and as I heard already from different angles the request for having ccTLD's paying license fees just like the G's are doing, having a majority of ccTLD's represented in the ccNSO could probably be quite important. I'm preparing myself as much as I can in order to be very attentive to what is going to be discussed in ccNSO in Mexico. Rudi Vansnick admin@isoc.sd schreef:

Recently manay ccTLD registries exchanged accountability frame work letters with ICANN to govern ICANN/ccTLD relations, still some ccTLD did not join.
Last year china membership to ccNSO encouraged other large ccTLDs to join ( e.g UK ) and now Germany finally joined, thats make the 3 biggest ccTLD registries in the world join ccNSO ( .de, .cn, .uk ).
This also a result of the work of ccNSO participation working group, which work as out-reach and imporve ccNSO participation in terms of quantity and quality, which i guess an example of a WG what is needed in At-Large Community .

I would guess the IDN ccTLDs would be a motivation for at least some, and the contact from ICANN asking who is likely to want a fast track IDN ccTLD was a consciousness raising exercise for others.
