Elisa, On the call today, you asked for opinions and guidance of where Chris Mondni should be going with the local Business Engagement events. Most previous events have seen a very low turnout of local business leaders. I appreciate it is difficult to organize remotely but we need attendance of 100+ to make this worthwhile to do outreach for ICANN, for the BC, and for ourselves. The only way is via local business organizations such as Chamber of Commerce and get them on board and excited anout a meeting for their members that ICANN funds. It is an opportunity for their members to learn about ICANN and BC and meet us, the travelling business people in town. I am member of a number of chambers, and I am thinking about it from the other side. If it was properly and well advance promoted within the Chamber there would be a good turnout. Perhaps that needs a Chamber committee member well on board. If not and the invite is just emails and phone calls then the chamber might just send a few along as a courtesy. I dont know the organizational route to date but the outcome in the past has been the latter. Again it may need a ICANN and/or BC member to make an advance visit to personally meet and present to the chamber committee and get them so on board. Too late for Singapore but in time for London and LA. Best Chris Chaplow Managing Director Andalucia.com S.L. Avenida del Carmen 9 Ed.
