Omar is doing an amazing job in organizing the IGFA. The BC's support will help us to bring in more businesses from the CASA region. It might be of interest that there are three speakers from ICANN, thanks to the outreach work that he has done.

Also, we believe, in addition to the benefits mentioned in our proposal, this outreach activity in Afghanistan will benefit BC in the following ways:

This outreach activity will result in 3-5 BC membership applications from Afghanistan and the CASA- Central Asia and South Asia region and the countries located along the historic Silk Road. Engaging members from the region will also result in long term engagement of and with the BC in the region. This will continue to create more awareness about ICANN BC, and the business community will understand better about how businesses from across the region can get involved. Wider awareness and visibility about BC among the diverse stakeholders participating in the IGF Afghanistan, in person and remote. The event will also opportunity to recognition on the event website, advert materials and including signage that promotes ICANN BC, and its crucial role in the overall stability, reliability, resiliency of ICANN. Foster diversity within BC as new participants, and then members from the CASA and from the countries along the Silk Road, will help to contribute to the diversity of BC.

Good morning all, My itinerary has been filled with travels as I get home today assuming I get through with work on schedule from my present location. Omar and his work with the Afghanistan IGF is well known to me and I believe should receive approval for a BC funded event and supported in everyway possible by the BC.
